Healing Prayer Seminars

Ann Bowman leads our emotional and spiritual healing ministry, an interactive process of prayer that brings resolution and healing to past emotional hurts and traumas. It offers a flexible model that describes the general flow of emotional healing in a person. It is part of the larger process of sanctification in our lives, as we experience new freedom within and become conformed to the image of Jesus Christ (Romans 8:29). We minister in confidential teams of three or four mature, gifted and trained intercessors.

There are additional seminars are offered each year which provide training and insight, both for prayer team members and for those desiring personal healing. Listed here are several different seminars that are offered; new ones are added each year.

Seminar Topics include:

Healing from the Inside Out: This comprehensive seminar focuses on basic biblical understandings for Healing Prayer Team members and those seeking spiritual and emotional healing. Topics include: the fruit of painful situations, the gift of forgiveness, an in-depth discussion of the process of healing prayer, and the importance of relationships in the healing process. Both hands-on workshops and ministry times are included. Ministry times are included.

The Great Exchange: His Peace for Our Pain: Pain comes in all sizes, shapes and colors...and the emotions we feel can be devastating. Two very common emotions are anger and grief. As we bring the painful situations of our lives to Jesus, He is able to help us find resolution, as well as healing from the prolonged effects of grief and anger. Seminar topics include learning to safely express anger, working through it to a place of healing and resolution, understanding the difference between grieving and self-pity, and discovering ways to touch and find healing for the emotions attached to painful life experiences. Ministry times are included.

Into the Light: Finding Release from Depression: Depression is a dark, dull cloud that affects the entire person. In this seminar, we learn about the physical, emotional and spiritual aspects of depression, and about the mental distortions that accompany it. As well, we discuss solutions in each area of our being that open the way for God’s healing touch. Ministry times are included.

Walking Free: Finding Release from Addictive Patterns: Living with desires and preoccupations that mess with our lives is no way to live...and Jesus offers a way out. He said, "If the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed" (John 8:36). In this seminar we learn about the nature and purpose of addictions, and discuss the addiction cycle in detail. Then we focus on how to cooperate with God in the process of healing, especially as He deals with the roots of addictive behavior. Ministry times are included.

Freedom from Shame: Toxic shame...who needs it?!?! This seminar addresses the nature of shame, its many diverse manifestations in a person’s life, the fortresses it can cause to build, and how the Holy Spirit brings deep healing and restoration from the effects of shame. Ministry times are included.

Overcoming the Enemy: Deliverance in the Context of Healing Prayer: Whether we are aware of it or not, we live in the midst of an ongoing spiritual battle. As Christians, we have the privilege of standing firm against the enemy's attacks. These attacks often center in areas of vulnerability in our lives, areas that may surface in the process of emotional healing. In this seminar we will discover practical ways to pray through issues such as involvement with demonic activities, demonic spirits passed from one generation to the next, sins committed against us, curses, soul ties, and willful, habitual sin. Ministry times are included.

Intimacy with God and Emotional Healing: We were created to have intimate fellowship with God and , as Christians, this is our inheritance. But that fellowship is all too often hindered by the inner walls we build to protect ourselves from emotional pain. In this seminar we first will explore the relationship between the quality of our emotional connection with God and our connection with others. Then we will consider paths to emotional healing that will open the door to experiencing a new emotional closeness both with the Lord and with others. Ministry times are included.

Physical Healing

Getting It All Together: Integrating Prayer for Physical Healing Emotional Wholeness
and Deliverance
Dates of Seminar TBA
Instructor - Ann Bowman

God has created each of us as an integrated being whose body, mind, spirit, will, and emotions are designed to work together in harmony. When wounding occurs in one part of our being, other parts are affected. Although the primary focus of the Healing Prayer Teams is emotional wholeness, we also facilitate the Holy Spirit’s work in physical healing and deliverance. In this seminar, we discuss how these aspects of healing prayer are related to one another, and consider practical models for each type of prayer.
