Keepers of the House Ministry
Keepers of the House are a team of leaders who assist with maintenance of our classrooms and the administration of Kids Church. They are involved in organizing people for prayer, hosting workshops, making name badges, sanitizing our nursery and doing many other tasks. If you have a heart for children's ministry, but cannot serve in the classroom, then this may be the place for you.

Shepherd’s Ministry
Our Shepherd’s House is the place where volunteer teachers and helpers are trained and supported in their ministry to children. Service coordinators give volunteers personal support. Regular training workshops are provided to those interested in developing their ministry skills.

If you would like to volunteer in the classroom, here are some things you need to know:

  • Volunteering as a helper is a great way to get started.
  • Fun, easy to follow curriculum is provided to assist teachers, worship leaders, and to those ministering through drama and puppets. Crafts and lessons are prepared for our teachers and waiting at each service.
  • All volunteers serve once or twice a month and are asked to commit for the school year and/or for the summer.
  • Substitutes are on call to cover for you in an emergency or for planned vacations.
  • If VCC is your home church, we request that one parent from each family serve as a monthly helper in our children’s ministry.

Become a Children's Ministry team member with these four easy steps:

  1. Fill out a VCC Children’s Ministry Application.
  2. Meet with the Children's Pastor to find the ministry position just right for you.
  3. Attend an orientation meeting if you are serving in the classroom.
  4. Receive a schedule by mail and start helping!
