Our mission is to build young lives on the foundation
of God’s Word and His Spirit so they become a blessing to their
family, neighbors and nations of the world.
Values
It is our sincere desire that children know how much our Heavenly Father loves
them… and that we, at VCC, love them too! We hope children will come to know
His love through Bible lessons and worship and by the example of caring teachers.
The following values direct our ministry to children: Faith: To
lead children into a relationship with Jesus through faith and to equip them to
express their faith in Christ with others. Family:
To encourage children to experience the love and care that
comes from being in the family of God. Fun: To
promote a love for church so children enjoy attending and bringing their friends.
To create an atmosphere for children that is safe and age-appropriate. How

Building young
lives on the foundation of God’s Word… Bible
Ministry
We are committed to building young lives on the power of God’s
Word. Toddler through elementary-age children learn the Bible through hands-on
crafts, story time, and meaningful, age-appropriate games and activities. We believe
learning the Word of God and becoming doers of the Word is a strong foundation
for life.
 AWANA Club Ministry
The AWANA program to
reach boys and girls with the gospel of Christ and trains them to serve Him through
Scripture memorization and recreation. Awana Club meets on Wednesday nights
from 6:45 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. during the school year. It equips preschool through
6th grade children to serve Christ in a powerful and meaning way. For more information on this and all of Wednesday night training classes click on the training tab above.
Building
young lives on the foundation of His Spirit… Worship
Ministry
Children dance, learn songs in sign language, sing in a choir,
play the drums, worship with flags, and learn about diverse expressions of worship,
warfare, and prayer through music. Powerhouse School of
Ministry
Powerhouse is a discipleship program that teaches children to
depend on the power of the Holy Spirit and trains them to share their faith and
express their talents for the glory of God. Our Powerhouse School of Ministry
meets during Saturday night and Sunday services and has four focus areas: 1) Outreach and Missions,
2) Worship, 3) Christian Basics for Kids, and 4) Ministry Team. We believe that
training our kids is key to reaching the hearts of unsaved children with the news
of Jesus, and important in maturing our own children in their walk with God.
Special
Programs
Children share Christ with others through creative expressions
of the Good News in dance, drama, and art. These are performed for the church
and taken out into the community. Announcements for special programs are in the
bulletin and are regularly scheduled as part of our Powerhouse School of Ministry.
Children
also learn what it is to care for their family, neighbors, and nations of the
world in practical ways through prayer, servant evangelism, and outreaches to
Mexico.
Family Events are always fun at VCC! Special Vacation Bible School and summer excursions and beach days are regularly scheduled throughout the summer. Flyers
